Dental veneers are customized porcelain shells that attach to the front of teeth to camouflage minor problems and improve the overall appearance of your smile.

Porcelain veneers are incredibly durable and can also be designed to match the shape and colour of your surrounding teeth. Their ability to mimic natural teeth makes them virtually invisible to the naked eye. Veneers are often used to fix slightly mismatched, crooked or gapped teeth, but they can also be used to easily whiten your smile. They’re also stain-resistant, so you won’t have to worry about further discolouration once you have them.

To add a veneer, the dentist may need to prepare the tooth by trimming the enamel and then modelling an impression of your tooth; in some cases, no preparation is needed. This will be sent to a dental laboratory to construct the veneer for bonding. When ready, your dentist will place the veneer to properly fit over your tooth and then adjust the colour. Once properly positioned on the tooth, any excess material will be removed and any final adjustments will be made to ensure the tooth matches the rest of your teeth. It’s that easy!
